BUFF aimed for the youth market with their hinged balaclava. We delivered some big mountain cred.


When the tried and true won't cut it
Buff is a well-known global industry leader in the on-mountain / back country world, but their messaging was being lost amid more brash youthful upstart competition and an ever-changing snow style landscape. They sensed that the launch of their superior quality, highly engineered hinged balaclava was in danger of going unnoticed if they did not plus up their normal marketing path.

Badass beyond our norm, please
Buff challenged Vehicle (and themselves) to push their brand look-and-feel to the edge with more youthful irreverence and passion. We were lucky enough to be able to draw inspiration from the exciting riding style of Buff pro snowboarder Victor de Le Rue for the "Ride Un-hinged" global campaign.

We created the digital, print, and video elements used for email, social, editorial, advertising, and their Outdoor Retailer trade show booth. We were happy to hear our client say: "This is the strongest brand execution and experience that I have been a part of at BUFF!"
